Long vacation days...

So What do you guys do if you're out all day, let's say NYC, walking around, and using your camera like you need it to see instead of your eyes? lol

Should I just get a couple of extra batteries? I'm assuming just one won't last all day shooting pictures and videos.

If the camera were my EYEs, I would definitely need 2-3 batteries and maybe as many cards. Maybe even an SB600 just to bounce light where needed. And all of this would be in a small backpack. HTH a little. Maybe some more experienced travelers will chime in with what they tote around.

I have extra batteries for both cameras. I would also be carrying a camera bag backpack with most if not all my gear. I would need food & water so my wallet would be snug in my pocket and sometimes I even take a 'camel back' which contains 2ltrs of water. Some snack food like dried fruit also comes in handy.
