Nice! I wonder how many people actually notice this when they are in this courthouse. I imagine most would have there minds on other things. Like, am I going to jail?!

I saw no fewer than 9 scoff-laws wearing orange jump-suits and leg irons being escorted through the building.

Just outstanding work! However, when I saw the title, I thought you were gonna say "Netted me these . . . . . Handcuffs." :)

That wouldn't be too hard. They're very particular about photography inside.... especially when there's jury trials occuring. I found a day where there weren't any, just civil matters going on. They don't want you to photograph people, so I had to edit some folks out of the images.

And, one needs a judge's permission to take these types of photos.

I wondered that. So you were given permission to roam the halls and photograph. Good thing I didn't show up at my local courthouse trying to shoot photos.

It goes directly to security. Not any post-9/11 stuff... just the fact that they have legal counsel, jurors, and charged/convicted criminals roaming the same space as the general public.

I wondered this as well and am actually surprised they allowed you to take photos. Since 9/11 there are many homeland security laws--including photography--and courthouse architecture quite often has lots of beautiful scenery!

Terrific photos! Thanks for sharing! ;)
