Hi everyone, John here.

I am an on and off hobby/amateur photographer. I have been off the last few years, and now wanting to get back 'on' I have not really picked up a camera for hobby work in about 5 years, last camera was/is a F/N80 (Film ha ha :) ) I have come back to the hobby as I have recently gained an interest in aerial photography, which ironically has combined another of my hobbies, RC aircraft. So I figured i would join and look for recommendations for new gear :). I'll be posting questions shortly :)

Welcome to Nikonites, Rusty. It just so happens that I'm into aerial photography as well, although only during the non winter months. :) It's called New Heights Aerial Photography. We're based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We use an octocopter with a Nikon D800 gimbeled underneath.
