Hello.
I am not quite a newbie as I have used the film-based slrs in the past but now use point and shoots because I only use cameras for documentation.
I carry an old Nikon Coolpix L18 in my truck (the batteries removed) as a back up to my Coolpix s9300.
I have been having a hard time finding repair and service info for these cameras ( I know Google and Youtube has some stuff but it's spotty at best).
I dont send most things away to get repaired as I have always been able to repair most things myself.
I work with my hands on everything from computers to cars to cameras and mostly houses as I am employed as a carpenter.
I hope to learn a thing or two from the folks here and can only hope to share what little I know.
