Shoots in night

Tried shoot in night with both night mode as well as manual mode with variable aperture and iso...results are not satifactory...
​Please help

Post a picture along with the exif data - exif data is the camera settings: ISO, shutter speed, aperture, etc...

​Once we have that info along with a picture we can tell you what to change.

I went out the other night and tried some shots of Xmas tree and decoration lights - total disaster and I binned them all. So I am interested in this thread

I think we've nailed the reason for problems. If you want to do night photography, a tripod is mandatory.

You clearly have too much time on your hands!

For night photography, use a tripod and keep your ISO low. Do not use auto ISO.

Not the best sample but this is just something that I shot the other night.

f7.1, 4 seconds, ISO 100
