Grand Canyon as it's not normally seen (or would that be "unseen"?)

I have to imagine that had I planned a trip to "see" the Grand Canyon and encountered this I would have been rather disappointed. And yet, to be able to photograph this rare anomaly would be rather cool.

That would be a wonderful photographic event. Yes I would hate missing the normal views BUT.....

Those are great to see... especially that it happened at the GC...
We have an area like that in upstate NY, called Storm King... It will be bright and sunny, then you look into the valley and there is nothing but a small weather system in the valley.

​I've been to the canyon several times, north and south rim. I would have made this a special trip just to see this and wouldn't have been disappointed at all

Great shot! I stopped at GC on a trip to Phoenix and it was so foggy you couldn't see the ledge you were standing on. Never got a chance to return.
