This photo was in Shutter priority and was attempting understand depth of Field and I got it but I realize I could of left some of the back ground out, Zoomed in more but I was trying to show he was on hind legs. The fun begins. Love this camera.

I'm shooting in
NEF + JPEG NORM.
One question, since I'm not printing anytime soon should I be shooting with the smaller picture format. Like 13 MP oppose to the 24 its set at or just go with the 24. Love the pictures.

Looks like you are off to a good start. I always shoot RAW so I can work more with the image if I want. Why have your camera crippled if you catch the shot of a lifetime?

Yes. I'm shooting in the
Raw-Jpeg Norm setting.. learning the viewx2 software shouldn't be too hard.

​Nice! If you like the smooth water effect, you'll want to pick up a neutral density filter to help slow the shutter speed.

I will be getting filters, hood and a flash. The one thing I learned today is Photography is relaxing. Took a lot of pictures understood Aperture & Shutter mood. The ISO is tricky. Nikon's ViewNX2 is OK. Still have a lot to learn about editing software. I do understand the under and over exposure reading in RGB and WB. Correcting it is another story.

This photo was in Aperture Priority .mode. The color RGB overlapped each other perfectly except blue was a little under exposed. Not a bad shot.
