My first real vacation in years and it was at HSR's year end meet at Daytona. They had a night race on Friday night, and it RAINED!

Overall I took about 2600 pictures. FOr the three days I was all over the place and you can get pretty close to the track in most places. More will follow as I steadily work through the images and pull out the good ones.

Not sure how HSR classes their cars, but the first 3 are not historic. Fourth one sure is. Very nice set. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to seeing more.

There is a "Modern GT" category for GT cars that aren't eligible for modern racing anymore and the prototype fits into a catchall prototype category.

1210 pictures made the cut. Now to edit them and start to whittle down the number further.

A few more that caught my eye as I went through the images.

The night shots are a bit grainy at 2000 ISO but they turned out pretty well.

Nice shots. That is the trouble with motorsport shooting, ending up with a thousand or so images to edit. It's great fun though!

I'm happy to see those not old & orphaned race cars have a place to run. Back when I raced in showroom stock we could run National races for 3 years. Then another 2 years in Regional races after that you pulled the cage out & used it as a street car.
