New D610 Owner here!

What a juggernaut of a camera! I have a whole new camera to learn compared to my D3200. Off to read me manual :D

After looong and hard debates b/t getting a cheap D600 or a D700, I've concluded that I didn't want to risk the sensor problems that would probably plague the used market, and I REALLY need video capability, so, the D610 killed two issues for me. Just the few shots I've taken with it, I wasn't expecting my 50mm 1.8 to not be that much 'better' crop wise but golly, I was pleasantly surprised lol.

Got thru the manual today :D What a monster of a camera! I just hope that the dust/oil issue doesn't creep up, or is as prevalent as it was with the D600.

I would not worry about this camera having the issue that the D600 did- every account of it indicates the problem has been corrected. all cameras get some dust, even occasional oil thrown- get a rocket blower and sensor swabs.

Congratulations on the new camera.

Congrats on the new gear! I'll be a D610 owner, too, in approx. 2 weeks and very much looking forward to it.

Please post more pics and your thoughts/comments about your new Nikon.
