1st moon shot through the telescope

I finally got a T-adapter and tried my hand at hooking the camera up to my Celestron C8 tonight. As expected, it took a bit of experimenting to find the right settings. The only thing I couldn't do was get a good sharp focus. Fine tuning the focus through the viewfinder is woefully inadequate. Any suggestions for how to get in focus?

Here's my best out of a dozen attempts.

Instead use Live View, and then zoom way in on that view, so you can see the fine detail of the tiny craters to focus on.

It's a D80 so no Live View. I guess I can zoom in on each shot and see how close I am. Seems kinda slow but it would be better than my current method (focus, shoot, hope, refocus, shoot, hope).

And yeah, the scope is aligned. It's my eyes that don't work. ;)
