Great Piece n Shooting Portraits

I don't shoot portraits, at least not yet, but there's a world of wisdom in this piece, so I've bookmarked it so I can come back to it. There have been several posts about doing senior portraits here of late and I believe there's a lifetime of terrific advice in here.

Only rule you need to know... don't use a 50mm. ;-)

Hmm, any thoughts on say, something like this one I took a month ago? Kinda went with whole, natural light and spur of the moment than overly-calculated "studio" style.

I think it's great!! Portraits aren't just head shots.
