I have the S6000 and I love it. This is a nice pocket camera. All you have to do is point and shoot. I have gotten good use of it the last couple of days. I am still learning my camera, but it seems pretty easy. I would recommend the 6000. I know nothing about the 3000 but for the price it is very good. Good luck on your search for a camera.
