hello guys

lets say i want to take an image with multiple focus points
like shooting a model but her hands is out of focus or shooting a newspaper

can this be done by bracketing or it is just for multiple exposure ?
like taking 3 images automatically by the camera

i heard about focus stacking but is this automated or i should take three pictures manually
and change the focus manually on each one ? :tongue-new:

You are talking about focus stacking but you will have to set up and shoot all the individual shots. There is not automation built into the camera for this. There is a program called http://digicamcontrol.com that will do a great job of automating this IF you can have your camera tethered to your computer while you shoot. Depending on what you are shooting you may need a lot more shots than three. The smaller the object the more shots it will take to get it all in focus.

If you are simply trying to get a whole person in focus, you might just want to choose a higher f-stop and if needed, back up a bit, so the depth of field covers the person including hands and whatever they might be holding.

Everything what the others have said.
To put it simply, in one image you can have one point of focus.
I did really have this thought earlier too... So it's not possible yet. Who knows cameras of the future may just be able to
