The Country Gent

A recent commission. The subject was lit with a large softbox camera left, facing the subject (key) and a second, smaller softbox camera right (fill):

It's a striking image with very vibrant colors. But I find the background to be distracting as the lighter/brighter areas tend to draw my eyes away from what should be a rather easy subject to stay focused on. It also seems to give the illusion of having been Photoshopped in, perhaps due to the fill light. A touch of depth of field to soften the lines on the backdrop, and maybe moving him forward a bit? Otherwise it's well done.
