I'm In !!

I accidentally posted this question in another thread.

Just got the D5200 and I'm very happy with it.
However, I've noticed what I think is an issue and I wanted to know if anyone might have this same issue.
The pop up flash.
If point the camera up and push on the flash it will pop up and not lock back in place unless I point the camera down.
I'ts like the little locking lever might not being staying forward.
Is this normal ??

So you just got this camera brand new? From a local shop perhaps? I'd take it back to them and show them the problem. It's still under warranty, so they either replace the camera for you, or have it repaired. If you bought it second hand, however, I'd say you were hooped, unfortunately.
So yes, from your description, it sounds like there is a malfunction of the locking mechanism of the flash lock.
Either way, it needs to be repaired.

Thank you for replying. Yes, it's a malfunctioning locking mechanism that holds the flash in place. I've contacted the store I bought it from and they were extremely helpful and apologetic and will do a full exchange for me.
