Photo Sizes

I read somewhere to size the photos to 1000 px at longest end and have been doing that. If not they get the chop anyway from the software on here.
But when posting my photos they come out smaller than what I see some of the others are. Can someone explain?

And while I have your attention is there any secret to posting photos in the gallery? I struggled the one time I had a go.

Lawrence....download a free program called Irfanview. It has a resizer that will solve all your resizing problems, believe me. It's the only program I use to resize....because it's so darn easy!

After you upload your picture here double click on it and you can click on large there. It will be full size then.
