This macro stuff...

...is not as easy as I thought it would be. I got my Nikon 85mm macro lens yesterday and I played around with it a bit today. It will definately take some practice. I can see how a tripod/monopod could make this easier.

Wait until you discover geared tripod heads, focus rails, bellows and focus stacking.

What lens/lenses are you using ?
I also notice that you are using a "star chair" - I have one which I use with my telescope, never even thought of using it for my indoor photography...
I might steal that idea....

Set the black & white points, put a slight S into the curve, and increased sharpness & saturation.

105/2.8 Micro Nikkor AF-D, or an old 28/2.8 Ai reversed on a PB-6 bellows.
