Shooting RAW

When I try to open a D300s NEF file in Adobe Photoshop CS2, it says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."
I always shot RAW with my D100, and it opened those NEF files with no problem. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

You may need to upgrade your adobe camera raw plugin.

A guy in my camera club had the same problem, he needed an updated version of adobe camera raw, which required he purchase a newer copy of Photoshop.

D300 support was added in later versions of Photoshop CS3. I think the NEF format for the D300s will also work with CS3 but haven't tried it. As a work around you can convert to DNG files which CS2 will read.
