Big dark spot when I zoom

Would you any of you folks know the reason behind the dark spot that appears on the left hand side of my photos whenever I zoom? I'm guessing that I'll have to get it serviced

Something on your sensor at a guess.

Yep! Looks like a big spot on your sensor.

Since it's a point and shoot camera, hard for something to get inside to sensor. Check your lens for a spot.

Yeah but not impossible, I got crap inside my samsung point and shoot, very annoying am still yet to pull it apart.

Is it a point and shoot ? I guess something could have gotten in there, or something got on the end of the lens. Or your finger is covering it? lol
