Movie 1980x1080 60i & 50i greyed out!

The movie selection for 1980x1080 60i & 50i on my D7100 is greyed out! I cannot select it. Anybody knows why?

See D7100 manual, bottom of page 169. Says those cannot use DX mode. Why, I don't know. Too intense maybe?

Right from the camera's built-in guide (pressing the ? button) while in menu/movie settings/frame size/frame rate: "1920x1080; 60i" and "1920x1080; 50i" are available when "1.3X (18x12)" is selected for image area".

You can get an explanation of most all of the menu settings by pressing and holding the ? button.
