Screen protectors? Do you use them?

Hello, new D3100 user here. I'm curious if you folks recommend using screen protectors on the rear LCD.

Hi my D90 came with one and I have never took it off I personally would have one on as its easier and cheaper to replace that than have a new lcd screen .. mike

I think a screen saver is a must. I have one on all of my cameras.
I would highly recommend one. They are an inexpensive way of protecting your LCD screen.

I use them, look at the scrapes and scratches they accumulate, better on easy inexpensive to replace protector versus the actual LCD. My cameras came with them and I think even link delight sells replacements.

Absolutely true, Curt. By the way, on Link Delight, did you see any pop up screen shade/protector for the D200? I didn't spot one. Maybe you did. Let me know, would you, please? Thanks.

One of the first things I did when I got my D90 was to order a couple of extra LCD screen protectors. Better safe than sorry.

Jack, I did not see a pop up, but I would be very suprised if they did not have one????

Linkdelight is a very good company to deal with.
I live in Canada and when I order it takes between a week & 10 days.
They send you a tracking number so you can track your shipment right to your house.

I use a GGS rigid glass screen protector on all my LCDs on my Nikon (D90 and D300s) and also on my LX3.
I believe Linkdelight carries them.
The original plastic screen protector of Nikon sucks. It easily get scratched and it doesn't have the transparency that the glass protectors have, specially if viewing pictures outdoors.
