D90 Print Date On Picture

I need to take some date/time stamped pictures but do not see an option to do that in the D90 menu options. Am I missing something or is this something that I can do with Lightroom?

I don't think you're missing anything. I think the problem is that the D90 does not offer that kind of option. I don't believe that's something most DSLR's offer. Instead the file comes with the EXIF data that includes date and time. So if you need the date issued on the image itself there are many ways during processing in which you can do this.

The D90 does not time and date stamp an image.

In Lightroom just watermark the date in during export. This way you are not limited to the bright orange/red stamp of most cameras.

Since you can't do it in-camera you'll need something like Photo Dater. Pretty simple app that does what it says. Has some nice options like letting you choose the font, font color and location of the date stamp. Work on a single pic or work in batches. Pretty snappy and totally free.
