Thanks

The shots are very overexposed. You need to cut the exposure.

Date taken 6/22/13, 2:15 AM
Dimensions 4288 x 2848
File name DSC_0440.JPG
File size 5.19M
Camera NIKON D90
Focal Length 45mm
Exposure 5s
F Number f/5.6
ISO 200
Camera make NIKON CORPORATION
Flash Not used
Exposure Bias -1.67 EV

Maybe shoot at 1sec or maybe even 1/2 sec. The sky should be black.

Faster shutter speed?

The first image seems fine, IMO. You may be able to add some structure to those lights and bring out a nice star effect. The second image suffers from focus and/or camera shake.

Like what in post processing Don?
Still Learning about p.p. so don't know what I can do in it?
Thanks

Contrast, Brightness, sharpness, shadow detail, highlights, white levels, Black levels and Clarity. Could have done a little more but did not want to go to the other computer. It has NIC tools on it and this laptop does not.

What post processing software do you have and are you shooting in RAW or JPEG?
