Caught this guy this morning. The interesting one is the eye. If you look at the water drops you can see a magnification of the compound structure inside the eye.

Thanks Pat. I used my D7100 with the 105mm f2.8G lens and about 32mm of extension tubes. I'm having a lot of success with this body and that lens combination. Anymore extension and it's tougher to acquire focus.

Excellent detail on that eye shot! D7100 and the 105 2.8g appears to be a killer combo, this could be damaging to my wallet!

How close is this putting you to the cricket?

the front of my lens is about 6-8 inches away from the cricket
