selector wheel

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and new to DSLR cameras. I just picked up a new D3200 and during set up I noticed that the down arrow on the selector wheel does nothing, is there something I am missing or do I need to take the camera back?

You might want to try reading your Owners Manual about the Selector Wheel. Try it when you're in the Menu portion of your camera. See what it does.

Welcome to the site. As daveg has said, it changes the display in image review.

The down arrow does a lot. It will allow you to scroll through menus, go through your calendar, choose images and will let you choose a lower focus point.
If your down arrow does no do any of these things then it has a technical problem. It's broke. Nikon needs to fix it.
