If I watch my photo's with a program that can show the focus point (like Nikon ViewNX 2) I notice that the focus point is always in the middle, unless I moved the focus point on the camera, when AF-area mode is dynamic or single. When I put my camera in AF-area mode auto then it does show the activated focus points. Camera is on AF-S.
What I would like to see is where my actual focus (focus lock) was at the moment of shooting in AF-area single mode. Isn't that possible? This would be very useful to improve technique in focus/recompose but also detecting front/back focus issues.
Or do I miss something?
