The DP-20 Multi-Meter Finder on my F4 is malfunctioning. The lower LCD panel in the viewfinder ("finder side display") has gone blank (except for minor bleed that developed recently). I'm getting a meter reading in the upper-left panel ("body side display"), so I'm not totally meterless.
The user manual says that the spot metering sensor is located in the body and so Spot Metering is available, whichever finder is being used. So my guess is that the meter reading I'm getting is a spot reading, not matrix or center-weighted. Does this sound right?
Also, can anyone give any suggestions for something I might try to get the DP-20 working again or see if it can be revived? I'm afraid getting it repaired may not be cost effective.
