Three-Men-Unplugged-Band

Saturday August 3,2013. My two sons and I were shooting a magical moment.

Three long time friends have been using some sort of voodoo magic to drive
the audience in hot and exotic places all around the world.

Right, no big show… but fantastic music! For us, the usual light problems and
a rather dull set to shoot but our feet wanted to dance and we didn't think of
leaving before the end.

The accordion player is a blind music magician, the guitar player is a mellow
sorcerer and we suspected the percussionist to detain the voodoo spells…

The audience had no chance!

did you use flash for some of these? If so, was it diffused?

Hello Dan,

This is the first thing all show producers will want to be sure of: only photographers
capable of working without flash may be hired.

In this case, no flash, no diffusion… only stage light! With the problems it brings along:
inconstant colour temperature, extreme harshness, strange performer's grins when
given light sources are used, etc.

Is this what you wanted to know?

Have a good day…

Nice work on the photos. Is that a six string ukelele? Or just a really small guitar?

So, was the set really the 20 prettiest songs in the world? And do you speak German in addition to French and English?

Blade Canyon;

Nice work on the photos.Thank you!

Is that a six string ukelele? No!

Or just a really small guitar? Almost! In modern musical nomenclature, this would
be called a "sopranino" guitar. In latin music tradition it is named "quinto". However,
it IS a guitar that is played like any guitar but scaled down to the size of the quinto.

So, was the set really the 20 prettiest songs in the world?
I believe that, for a summer entertainment concert, they did not think so far! They just
put up 22 songs, to be precise, that they all played with pleasure and called it "prettiest
songs in the world"… of course, no one can get away with something like that without a
little voodoo power! =) …wie ich sehe, du kannst deutsch lesen!

And do you speak German in addition to French and English?

My sons do far better than I… their schooling is in German… I cope!

Have a good day…
