"Unorthodox?" …not really!

Hello Ironwood,

Regular gear is the right word! The guy, however, found clever and cheap solutions
to problems like light diffusion and wrapping.

Nice link!

Have a good day…

Hi Kodiak, yes, perhaps unorthodox was not the correct word, but he uses different gear than what I think most here would consider the norm for macro photography. But despite this, his results are nothing short of amazing.
Perhaps we should all take something out of this, learn to use the gear you have to its fullest, before you spend more money to get the gear you think you need.

I read one comment that someone posted, where they said they had spent three times the money than he had , and cant get near his results.

Excellent link Brad, and it just goes to show that a bit of ingenuity can get you a long way. I wonder how many will be trying this now :)

Brad, one question: "Is Kodiak a difficult name?
'cause your the second in two days that writes it wrong, and in the same way!

About the gear…

I got enough P@ telling me that: "sure, you can do such pictures… look at
all the stuff you have!" Then I have to explain that to get that stuff, I had to
perform magic with almost no gear… and that all the stuff I have is for my
sons' studies… my time will be soon running out so they shall take over!

Have a good time!

Well I apologise for spelling your name wrong

Maybe I saw the other time it was spelled that way, and subconsciously spelled it the same way, I dont know.

this makes sense.
all the old masters had to be magician.
if you pass your magic to your son and the new equipment…
there will be some magic in the air.
