A new beginning

Well since I got my camera in aug..my first Nikon a D90 at that with a zoom lense. I have been taken out by a few great camera people. They have taught me some awesome skills..I have had someone wanting to buy my pictures Yay me...Ha Ha I have so much to learn..Baby steps..I'm loving my camera....Being in Canada bring on the snow and the Christmas lights lol...

The D90 is a great camera. Dollar for dollar it's the best buy on todays market. If you are going to shoot a lot of snow don't forget the auto white balance will see the white snow as gray. Turn the Auto WB off and set it for shade or cloudy. Or even better use an 18% gray card and do a WB preset (see page 101 in the users manual). Also snow has a lot of glare. Use a CPL filter to take out the glare and give the snow more texture.
