No the 300mmF4 is still my favorite. The 80-400 is more versatile(zoom) I will continue to use the 300mm& 1.4 for most of my wildlife photos once the novelty of the 80-400 wears off.

I know exactly what you mean Sam. Once that thing wears off, they get stuck in the camera bags for a while.
