D7100 AF-c

So I had a chance to pick up a D7100 for a good price, and I figured why not - it will be a great camera to go with my D700. I had read that it was equipped with the D4 AF system and after running a few tests I must say - IT IS AWESOME! So fast in af-c and 3d focus point (This setting locks on to your target and on it's own tracks it in the view finder over all 51 af points, it is important to give it time with original focus, but once it knows the subject it is pretty impressive). Never been able to get so many keepers before with that method, I love it!
Now if I could just have it with a real buffer....

Same here the D7100 is great still learning it and all it can do.
Congrats on the purchase of the D7100.

Here is a quick example, a few are a bit soft but most are sharp - with the D700 I get only half as many in focus shots - very nice AF tracking on the D7100.

Are those shots using the 3d af?

Yes - AFc and 3d

try to use the dynamic are 51 af great for tracking
