Battery Grip and Lens Help

I just bought a Nikon D5200 and I have a few questions. This is my first DSLR and I was looking for a battery grip but I can only seem to find ones that fit the D3200 and D5100. I was curious if it would fit for mine as well, or have I just not found the right one? Also, the girlfriend and I go to a lot of car shows(inside and outside) and I go to baseball games as well, I'm not sure which lenses would be best to go with. Thanks for any help in advance!

Unfortunately Nikon don't actually make a battery grip for the D5200, there was a few Nikon branded fakes on eBay last year and I worked with Nikon in Japan and the U.S to get these removed from the market, there are a few 3rd party version available, but prehaps someone else here will tell you what the quality of them is like.

It's impossible to answer lens advice questions without knowing what the budget is.

Check out B&H photo website. They sell third party battery grips. I got a Vello and have no complaints. Remember that to get most use, you need two batteries in the grip.

Buy a couple of spare batteries
