D80 Upgrade

Hi All,

I'm looking to upgrade my Nikon D80 to something with a higher megapixel count, and video capability (amongst other improvements).
My D80 still has fairly low actuations and I was wondering what a suitable upgrade would be. I love to photograph all types of Sports (but mainly field hockey), so something suited to that but also an all rounder would be excellent. I have a Nikkor 18-135 lens and 70-300VR lens, so an autofocus motor is essential. Any suggestions are welcome!

You don't mention a budget for this upgrade but even without that information I would suggest the D7100 if the internal focus motor is a must have. You could probably find a used D7000 for a great price since the D7100 is so freshly minted though.

Henry... A D90 would meet your criteria... at the lowest posible price... if you can find a mint used one... The next step up would be the D7000.... and then the D7100... Each increment up, of course, is dependent on your budget...

I'd seek out a D7000. You'll find a great price on those.
