First attempt to shoot stars

Moon was out really bright so it was tough. There were clouds too, but I did the best I could. D3100 Body

I thought it was cool to see stars at what looks like sunset but its actually about 10pm

I like the backlit trees as well. Moonlight and city lights really make it tough to capture the stars. Try ISO 3200 and a 20 second exposure on a really dark night and you will be amazed what the camera can capture - way more than your eye can see.

I'm out in the country so I'm gonna try again some night when the moon is down. You can see the milky way out here on dark nights.
