High Sequence problem

So, I shot a wedding this week and encountered a problem. When I shoot sequence photos (Ch) in Manual Priority mode, the photos come out exposed differently. In the burst of photos, the first photos is dark, then the second is bright. It's a noticeable difference. I found if I put the camera in Shutter priority mode, the problem stops. The thing is, Shutter priority mode is not ideal at times. How can I stop the difference in exposure from occurring while still shooting sequentially?

Could you have you bracketing mode on?
Bracketing usually captures one exposure darker & the next brighter in relation to the first pic shot at correct settings...
