hello everyone.... look forward to becoming familiar with the site and exchanging thoughts with everyone.

I started with a D40 and after about 5 months, I bought my D90 and love it. I am going to move to a D300s in the spring as I've started to shoot some action and when the light is suspect for games that start later in the evening, I need a little more speed.....

take care,

d

Hi Dewey

I'm in Columbus, never been to Waynedale.. or if I have, I didn't realize it!

I have a D90 as my backup body, great camera!

Hi Dewey and welcome to the Nikonites Community. Changing camera bodies won't give you more speed for late evening games. I would suggest buying a faster lens for that D90. The Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII would be a good choice.

Welcome to the site, I agree with Joseph, buying a D300 will not increase the speed, its in the lens, a f2.8 and up will be the answer. Maybe try a nikkor 1.8 50mm.
Cheap and really fast, great for low light situations.
