my husband owns an Olympus OM4 with multiple Vivitar lenses. Is there an adapter that can be purchased so that I could use on my Nikon D7000?
Is it worth it?
thanks

Thanks

I own a Olympus OM2n and have many very nice lenses for it. I not shoot a Nikon D5100. I have found 1 adapter that will allow you to use a olympus lens on a Nikon BUT it is not a simple adapter. You have to remove pieces of the original mount and modify them. From what I see it is not something most people would really want to do. You could buy older non auto focus Nikon lenses for not much more money.

I just updated my profile. Today is my retirement day and I want to get to "know" my camera as my first project....
I love macro photography. Any suggestions on additional lenses?

Allow me to suggest 2 such lenses: 85mm Micro and/or 105mm Micro. Both are great macro lenses.

Which lenses do you have now? For macro you really can't go wrong with either one of those.

I retired about 6 weeks or so ago. Great to be able to spend my time on my photography.

Lynn, your retirement date, name, and user name (Ms. Pilot) all made me wonder if you live across the street from me!
