Macro shots of Flowers

I am posting one of the photos that I took using my Sigma 50mm 2.8 macro lens for your comments.

Nice shot! I like the way the water droplets seem to float all around the petals.

Just a small note. You need to clean your mirror and or your lens.

You have three spots clustered mostly in the upper center of the photo.

The first shot is really good. One of the rules of composition is to never place the subject in the center of the picture. Well so much for the rules. They are made to be broken. In this case it works very well. You have a good since of creativity.

On shot two it's really nice to have the background out of focus. It's called Bokeh. However it doesn't work very well when both subject and background is out of focus. You don't site the EXIF data. Curt is right you need to stop down to get a better depth of field, (if at f/3.5 go to f/8 or f/11), and bring the entire flower in focus.
