Very nice photo indeed! :D

I've never been out of the country--so what are the 2 beams of light at the top--one goes to the right and the other to the left? Does that light rotate like a beacon? Just wondering if anyone knows....

Hi hark,

In the old days(+/- 125y.), much smaller planes were buzzing around. So from the
beginning, some lights were installed to "guide" people to the EXPO in Paris and to
help pilots in the frequent fogs.

The EXPO is long over and planes have other routes but the lights stayed. After all,
Paris is "La Ville Lumière"!
