It was doing a tour of our county and neighouring county,visiting most of the second world war airfields,we popped to am old control tower museum near us.

Okay. They are my cousins and the reason i asked was i thought maybe you were a WWII/Aircraft buff. Ernie Gilbert, who has long passed, started the Buxton Warbirds. He bought many veterans together, even from axis countries like Germany. He once received a letter from Japanese fighter pilot Satoshi Yamashita. His son Tony continued the association after his dad passed and is quite well known within the WWII buff circle. He helped out with the publication of a book about the Battle of Britain - his WWII memorabilia was showcased in it.
