LCD screen heats up?

Hi everyone,

I'm a new Nikonite and this is my first post. I've had the D7100 for about a week now and have noticed the LCD gets hot after about 2-3 minutes of shooting video. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi William and welcome.

A little difficult for anyone to tell you whether the overheating that you are experiencing with your camera is normal or not.

A better way to determine this is if you can go to your nearest camera store that has a D7100 on display, you can turn on the live view on both cameras and observe to see if there is actually an issue or not.

Thanks. It may have been due to being out in the heat. I haven't seen this issue come up in other forums so I'm hoping it was a one time occurrence. Just curious because I never experienced it with my D40.
