Best Macro Lens?

looking at investing in a nice macro lens. So far they appear to range around the $1000 mark, but I have noticed some cheaper sigma ones. Does anyone have any experience of them? It will be for photographig close ups of baby's and ring shots at weddings etc

The 60 mm Nikkor seems to be in the $450-500 range.

In fact, Adorama has them for $459, $419 Grey, $389 Used.

In fact, the prices look so good maybe I'll order one! I have a friend that keeps the 60mm on her camera all the time, just loves the lens. I know some will prefer the 105 mm but for what I would need the 60 would be more than adequate.

I would also suggest the Nikkor 60mm Micro.
