New nifty 50

New 50 1.8d came last Friday. Just completed second walkabout. This lens has all the Aperture that a person could ever really need. It is sharp as that last tack you stepped on and is so very liberating. I really like my 16-85 but this lens is a special joy to use. No wonder it is favored by some many photographers.

Hi,Ron It's a great lens.I couldn't be without mine.

I love my 50mm f/1.8. I can't imagine going out to shoot without it being available to put on my D90 when I need it.

Have to agree with the above posters....Best $100 I've ever spent.....

I bought the "G" version great little beast

I just got the "G" as well and 24hrs later am I impressed ? S##t yes I will be posting the pics soon !!

I'm not sure how I feel about my 50mm 1.8D. I think it's because I have the 35mm and it's on my crop sensor. If I didn't have the 35mm I'd love it more, I'm sure.

I wonder how many people don't own a Nifty Fifty, compared to those who do?

I don't doubt that most people on this site have one 50mm or another. This focal length and optical quality seems to be a favorite of most of the folks here.

I've got the 35mm 1.8g for the crop factor on my D7000 - awesome! Most used lens of mine!
