Nikon F100 35mm prime lense

What works for digital, works for film. Prime lenses tend to be sharper than zooms. If you're on a budget the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D is a good start. Really depends on what focal length you need.

I'd personally find a different lens which has AF. It's doesn't make sense to buy a manual focus lense when you can find a similarly priced AF lens, especially with the F100.​
