Second battery in D800e

Bit maddening that the mb-d12 grip only takes one battery and the second resides in the body. So when you want to charge it and like me, the grip is always on, you have to take the grip off to release and then charge the battery.
A little irritant, and so far the only one!

Nikon changed that design a long time ago (D80/D90). D300, D700, and so on has this new configuration. It is what it is, I guess.

That's why I haven't purchased the MB-D12. Not only is it not a great design; it's too expensive. I'll live without the extra size and I'll keep an extra battery in a vest pocket.
