Question on photographer - client issue

I've a quick question - when you're working with a client do show them individual shots as you work them up or do you wait and show them only after you've finished the entire shoot?

TIA

For me it depends on the kind of work and the client. If it's on a commission basis/commercial, I show them the work as we go along. It helps to refine the vision/direction. If it's a wedding or portrait session, they see only the finished product.

Normally I review them with them after the shoot and tell them that proofs (from Adobe Bridge) are forthcoming. However, if I am out on a model shoot, I will often shot them to her if we have finished a specific part of the shoot, but then it is only in passing.
