2nd attempt at a portrait

Hi All,

The last thread really helped me out and put me on my way to learning some new things. Inspired by the generosity and help shown by the people here I did some reading and gave another go. Hope this one is a better effort. Please do let me know what I have messed up in the picture or any area of improvement i need to look at.





This time took out 2 flash lights and positioned one on the left, which was the main light and the 2nd flash on the right which acted as a fill flash. For the first picture my fill flash was barely throwing any light (wanted to capture half the face only).

I like the lighting in the first shot. I think the second needs to be free of shadows. My thoughts on shadows are they should either be intentional like #1, or not present.

Ahan thanks. Well I liked the lighting in second one as well, but it seems that i do need to use a little more fill light.
