Are you doing the conversion as a part of the HDR processing, or doing HDR and then converting? I much prefer the latter, at least with the Nik software. A lot more options, though both produce some great results.
That makes sense. I didn't think you HDR'd it after converting to B&W. I am surprised how much HDR then B&W can make a difference. Nice job.I merge and adjust in Photomatix first, then convert to B&W in LR if I want. Leaves options open.

Rare that my memory is that good but seeing this Bulldozer made me go out and try my hand at HDR.
