A Real Deal

Ok,so I'm saving up to buy the Sigma 120-300mmf2.8,but mean while I needed a quick fix lens.So this deal comes along I just couldn't let pass me by.Sigma 70-200mmF2.8 os for $775.00 and less than one year old,in the box with warranty and sales receipt. Sometimes dreams do come true.

I would have jump into it if I can find this here.

I already have a 70-210 f4 , but I'd love the Sig 120-300 2.8. I know a few birding guys over this side of the puddle who get superb shots with that lens, even with a 2x TC ...600mm f5.6 !

Would need to do a comparison with the 150-500mm for IQ for me to get excited about it, given a constant f5.6 on that lens with a 2x TC it's not much different than the variable f5.0-6.3 I get with that lens, and I've got the 400-500mm extra reach. But giving you the advantage of a nice 70-200mm walkaround it's a great little find.

I'm jonesing for the 120-300mm as well, but can't justify the scratch for it at the moment. Ned something with wheels first.

I keep looking at this and can't figure out what it is. I have the same lens. Best guess I have is some kind of filter? but too thick for that.

It's a hood extension used for APS-C cameras. Smart idea to be able to adapt the hood for both types.
